My portfolio performed very well yesterday, 18 Aug 2014, hitting a new record high.

While the FBM KLCI declined 0.1% yesterday, my total portfolio value rose 2.5% to RM107,764. The portfolio’s total returns increased to 7.8% from 5.2% on Friday. 

My portfolio started on 8 July 2014 with a capital of RM100,000. Since then, it has outperformed the FBM KLCI by 9.4%, and has registered an annualised return of 67.5%.

Total profits currently stand at RM7,764, of which RM1,175 have been realised , RM7,700 are unrealised and RM1,111 are commission costs incurred. 

The portfolio’s biggest gainer yesterday was Alcom, which surged 17.9%, following a 9.3% rise on Friday.  The stock is now yielding a total gain of 22.5% since I bought it a week ago.

The other notable gainers yesterday were Marco Holdings (+10.8%), KSL (+6.2%) and Latitude (+2.4%). Tasco was the only loser, down 1.9%.

Yesterday, I bought 3,000 shares of Astino for RM1.82 per share and sold 4,000 shares of Subur Tiasa for RM2.34 per share.

My portfolio held steady on Fri 15 Aug 2014. The total portfolio value was down a marginal 0.08% at RM105,179, compared with RM105,268 previously. The FBM KLCI rose 0.1% on Friday.

My portfolio started on 8 July 2014 with a capital of RM100,000. Since then, it has outperformed the FBM KLCI by 6.7%, and registered an annualised return of 48.5%.

The portfolio's total profits currently stand at RM5,179, of which RM1,695 has been realised (including Friday’s transactions), RM4,558 are unrealised and RM1,074 are cumulative commission costs incurred. 

The portfolio’s biggest gainer on Friday was Alcom, which surged 9.3%. The stock was acquired on 11 Aug 2014. The other gainers were KSL (+2.2%) and SCGM (+1.3%). The main losers were Subur Tiasa (-2.9%) and Heitech Padu (-2.7%). 

On Friday, I bought the following shares:

2,000 shares of Fiamma Holdings for RM2.17 per share

13,500 shares of Superlon Holdings for 73.5 sen per share

And I sold the following shares:

10,000 shares of Kia Lim for 66.5 sen per share

10,000 shares of AE Multi Holdings for 22 sen per share

20,000 shares of Masterskill for 42 sen per share

Portfolio update 

The portfolio fared very well yesterday, 14 Aug 2014. While the FBM KLCI gained just 0.2%, my portfolio value rose 0.6% to RM105,268. The total returns have increased from 4.6% to 5.3%. 

My portfolio started on 8 July 2014 with a capital of RM100,000. Since then, it has outperformed the FBM KLCI by 6.9%, and has registered an annualised return of 50.6%. 

The total profits currently stand at RM5,267.64, of which RM2,195.44 have been realised, RM4,060 are unrealised and RM987.90 are commission costs incurred.  

The portfolio’s major gainers for yesterday were Tasco (+7.4%), KSL (+6.8%) and Kia Lim (+6.4%). The major losers were Subur Tiasa (-4.3%), Masterskill (-3.4%) and Marco Holdings (-2.6%).
